Philosophy

Oopsy Daisy Learning Centre adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our learning centre, they are fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.

Our Mission

At Oopsy Daisy Learning Centre, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique learning centre offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.

Our Approach

At Oopsy Daisy Learning Centre, we have adopted the Scandinavian child-centred approach to learning. We aim to  provide a warm and nurturing environment using neutral tones and natural materials. Over the years Sophie has carried out extensive research through her dissertation and practitioner enquiries. Her research invoked a passion for this approach from seeing first hand the positive impact in had on children. The Scandinavian approach uses outdoors as a part of the pedagogy. Oopsy Daisy Learning Centre will foster natural environments in all of the rooms and provide opportunities for young children to develop and learn through a natural environment outdoors. Most of what children need to learn during their early childhood years cannot be taught; it’s discovered through play.
